5. Norway

The starting date of the Norwegian monarchy is 885, when Harold 1st, considered the first king, united territories that today represent Norway under a single dominion.
King Harold 5th, 81, is the current occupant of the throne. He is the king of Norway since 1991 and, for the moment, does not show interest in yielding the crown to the son Haakon, heir of the throne.
Norway is a constitutional monarchy and nobles perform representative and ceremonial functions.
