6. Denmark

The Danish monarchy dates back to the 10th century, when Gorm the Elder, born in the year 900, reigned and Haroldo 'Bluetooth', born in 940.
Since 1972, Daisy the 2nd is the Queen of Denmark. She and the Danish royal family play a symbolic role and representative functions inside and outside the country.
For over 50 years, Margaret was married to Prince Henry of Denmark. The nobleman of French origin never hid the dissatisfaction for having been denied the title of king since his wife took the throne of the Nordic country.
Last year he died and eventually broke a 459-year tradition that royal couples should be buried together. Frustrated to have the royal title of prince, not king-consort, he announced that he did not want to be buried next to his wife. She respected the decision.
Frederick is the heir to the Danish throne.
The Danish government is a parliamentary democracy.
